Über Hanna Halka – Künstlerin & Songwriterin

About me

Born in Ukraine and based in Munich, Germany, Hanna Halka is an artist whose work explores memory, roots, feminine archetypes, and the invisible connections between generations.

Her artistic journey began at the age of five in an art studio in Dnipro. Although life later led her through different places and professions, creativity remained a constant presence, shaping the way she sees and interprets the world.

Hanna creates paintings that combine realistic imagery with symbolic narratives inspired by memory, ancestry, feminine archetypes, and cultural heritage. Many of her works are rooted in family history, personal memories, nature, and the enduring role of women as keepers of memory, identity, and continuity.

Themes of ancestry, belonging, and cultural heritage form the core of her artistic practice. Through visual narratives, she explores how the lives of those who came before us continue to influence the present and shape the future.

Alongside painting, Hanna writes poetry and song lyrics, creating music projects that explore the emotional journeys of women — love, loss, resilience, self-discovery, and transformation. Her songs reflect moments of vulnerability and strength, the search for truth beyond illusion, and the courage to begin again after life's turning points.

For her, art is a way of preserving stories, emotions, and experiences that connect people across time, memory, and personal transformation.
